Assistant Manager – Business & Tax Advisory

About the role

KPMG’s Business Services & Tax Advisory team is seeking an Assistant Manager to support a diverse portfolio of mid‑market clients in Sydney. You will provide tax and accounting advice, develop technical expertise, and engage directly with senior client leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tax and accounting compliance services, including preparation of financial statements, BAS and income tax returns for a range of entities.
• Manage client engagements end‑to‑end, maintaining regular contact, presenting findings and supporting senior leaders.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to their professional development.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of post‑graduate advisory experience in an Australian accounting firm.
• Bachelor of Business (Accounting) or equivalent from an Australian institution.
• Progressing through or completed the CA/CPA program.

Required skills

• Preparation of financial statements, Business Activity Statements (BAS) and income tax returns.
• Knowledge of Division 7A compliance and trust distribution rules.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation abilities.
