Assistant Hotel Manager

About the role

Veriu Group is hiring an Assistant Hotel Manager for its Macquarie Park property, its largest to date, located on Lane Cove Road in Sydney's northwest business district. The hotel offers 184 serviced apartments with kitchens, laundry facilities, a function room and gym, and is close to public transport. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the Assistant Manager leads the team with kindness and helps build a culture that supports success.

Key responsibilities

• Manage hotel presentation, compliance and daily operations in line with the Veri-Best Framework
• Recruit, onboard, train, develop and manage staff proactively
• Drive engagement with the value-aligned culture to achieve strategic goals
• Embed the Veriu Group sales philosophy, including data capture, recording and opportunity exploration
• Optimise guest satisfaction and experience

Required profile

• Adaptable, enjoys variety and operates with an ownership mindset
• Demonstrated experience leading a team with kindness to achieve outcomes
• Ability to resolve problems and complaints
• Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication
• Experience managing people in a customer service environment
• Passion for personal growth
• Approved Australian working rights (citizenship, permanent residency or visa with approved working rights)
• First Aid Certificate (or able to obtain before starting) and RSC certificate (or able to obtain before starting)
