About the role
A permanent, full-time Advanced Recreational Officer position is available at Westhaven, a small residential aged care facility in Roma, Queensland. The role supports the development and delivery of frontline services, programs and outcomes for long-term residents, working closely with nursing staff. Roma is the largest town in the Maranoa Region, with a catchment population of almost 14,000.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and evaluate a range of personalised recreational, diversional and social activities.
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff to enhance the lives of long-term residents.
- Understand the Aged Care Standards and advocate for resident dignity and choice.
Required profile
- Ability to work in a people-focused role within a supportive, experienced team.
- Understanding of the Aged Care Standards.
