Technical Sales Consultant - Hardware Territory (Northern Sydney)

About the role

A well-established hardware supplier is looking for a Technical Sales Consultant or Technical Sales Representative to grow its sales and nurture client relationships in Northern Sydney and the Northern Beaches. You will manage your own territory with autonomy, with minimal cold calling, and combine sales with merchandising duties.

Key responsibilities

• Visit existing retail hardware customers regularly, with occasional regional trips
• Manage and grow a portfolio of hardware retail clients, including independent store chains
• Build strong customer relationships to increase business from current accounts
• Follow up on qualified new sales leads with limited cold prospecting
• Support merchandising such as promoting new product lines, setting up displays and stock monitoring
• Drive sales growth and provide basic technical advice to customers without formal product training delivery

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in sales and account management within hardware or related sectors
• Experience selling to procurement
• Current Australian driver's licence and permanent residency; sponsorship not available
• Self-driven, able to manage multiple customer locations independently

What we offer

• Salary of $110,000 to $120,000 per year plus superannuation
• Commission potential of about $12,000 to $15,000 per year
• Vehicle allowance of around $15,000 and company-covered fuel
• Permanent full-time position with a 3-month replacement guarantee
