Senior Solutions Advisor

About the role

BlackLine's Solution Advisory (pre-sales) organisation is evolving beyond traditional feature demonstrations, working at the intersection of business strategy, deep domain knowledge and modern technology. As a Senior Solutions Advisor you will be a technical and value-based advisor to the Office of the CFO and a mentor to the wider solution consulting team, shaping the company's largest deals and acting as a key link between the field and product strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multi-threaded discovery workshops with senior finance and IT stakeholders to uncover and quantify business challenges.
• Design and deliver persona-driven solution demonstrations that connect products to tangible business value.
• Run Forward Deployment workflows: build proof-of-value scenarios, prototype data transformations and run competitive bake-offs.
• Build data-driven business cases and ROI models with prospects.
• Own the technical and value strategy for top-tier accounts and mentor the presales team.
• Lead complex RFPs and competitive proofs of concept.
• Educate prospects on AI-first finance trends such as machine learning, rule-based automation and agentic AI.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a senior enterprise presales role selling complex SaaS solutions to the Office of the CFO.
• Experience leading consultative discovery and building business cases and ROI models with enterprise customers.
• Strong presentation skills, able to engage executives and large audiences.
• Deep domain knowledge in a relevant area such as Financial Close and a passion for mentoring.
• Bonus points for a technology consulting background or a professional accounting qualification.

BlackLine works a mix of virtual and in-person collaboration; candidates living within a reasonable commute to an office work at least 3 days a week in the office.
