Senior Accountant - Asset Management (1 Year Fixed Term)

About the role

Endeavour Group is hiring a Senior Accountant (Asset Management) for a 12-month fixed-term, full-time position. The role is central to the accuracy and completeness of the capital-related general ledger for the Group's retail businesses, bridging onshore business units and the offshore team. It covers capital accounting, ERP implementation (Great Plains to SAP S/4HANA), offshore transition and month-end reporting. The role is based in Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide.

Key responsibilities

• Map and stand up financial processes for capital purchases and asset accounting in the new ERP environment, and draft, review and finalise SOPs and control frameworks for offshore operations
• Lead the migration of asset and capital data from Great Plains into SAP S/4HANA, ensuring data integrity and ledger matching
• Design short-term workarounds at go-live and drive long-term fixes, and coach the Bangalore team through knowledge transfer and training
• Drive the SAP S/4HANA UAT program, investigate and resolve financial data variances and validate reporting pipelines using tools such as SQL in Google Cloud Platform
• Ensure timely financial close, journal and reconciliation completion, OneStream submission integrity and external auditor requirements

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive finance, shared services or global business services experience, preferably in retail accounting
• Accounting professional qualification (e.g. CA, CPA, CIMA)
• Experience in process optimisation and in successful finance technology programs (SAP ERP implementations highly desirable)
• Change management and business partnering skills

• Data validation with SQL in GCP
