About the role

ATSILS QLD LTD, a not-for-profit legal services provider for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Queensland, is looking for a reliable receptionist for its Mount Isa office. The role manages the switchboard and reception area, welcomes clients and visitors, and supports legal work. The employer invites Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander candidates to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the switchboard and reception area, keeping a welcoming atmosphere for clients and visitors
• Lodge Legal Aid applications online
• Complete legal correspondence
• Oversee filing and mail management
• Liaise frequently with teams across Queensland to support communication and collaboration

Required profile

• At least two years of experience in a professional, legal, justice or community services environment
• Certificate III in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification
• Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute
• Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients is highly valued
• Resilience, organisation and energy; prepared to provide at least two professional references
