Mineralogist (Minerals) - Adelaide

About the role

Bureau Veritas Minerals, part of Bureau Veritas, is looking for an experienced Mineralogist to join its laboratory in Adelaide (the role is also available in Perth). You will deliver high-quality mineralogical analysis and project outcomes in a leading laboratory environment, working closely with clients, technical teams and senior stakeholders. You will lead and support mineral processing projects from planning through to reporting, while contributing to continuous improvement, safety and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct mineralogical interpretation, data analysis and technical reporting
• Coordinate and supervise laboratory test work and project activities
• Collaborate with clients to deliver project outcomes and technical solutions
• Monitor project schedules, quality standards and operational performance
• Support safety, quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Degree qualified in geology or a related discipline
• Proven experience in mineralogy, including XRD, QEMSCAN or automated mineralogy methods
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients and stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented laboratory environment
