Lead Electrical Engineer – Water Infrastructure

About the role

Join AECOM’s Water Infrastructure team in Melbourne to lead electrical engineering for large‑scale water and wastewater projects across ANZ. You will work on pumping stations, treatment plants, ventilation, fire protection and HVAC systems, contributing to iconic infrastructure that supports communities.

Key responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including instrumentation, power distribution, control and communications.
• Conduct technical studies, modelling and computational analysis for project solutions.
• Prepare cost estimates and computer‑aided drafting for electrical packages.
• Lead the preparation of proposals, design schedules, budgets and commercial submissions for client bids.

Required profile

• Experience on municipal water and/or wastewater projects.
• Background in a dynamic consulting and design environment, focusing on industrial electrical, instrument and control systems.
• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with CPEng/RPEV registration.
• Experience in project and quality management procedures.
