HR Business Partner – Strategic Workforce Leader

About the role

This newly created HR Business Partner role will influence the next phase of growth for a global automation and technology business. Based in Melbourne with hybrid working, you will partner with leaders across Projects, Service and Operations to translate strategy into people outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver HR strategy and workforce plans aligned to business priorities.
• Partner with leaders on organisation design, effectiveness and change.
• Lead workforce strategies for critical skills, succession and capability.
• Strengthen leadership capability through coaching and development.
• Develop and execute proactive industrial relations and employee relations strategies.
• Provide trusted advice on complex performance and organisational matters.
• Support workforce mobilisation and transition for projects.
• Use workforce data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.

Required profile

• 10–20 years HR experience, senior HRBP level.
• Experience in complex operational environments such as engineering, manufacturing or logistics.
• Strong IR and ER capability with experience in negotiations.
• Proven ability to coach, influence and challenge leaders.
• Strong judgement, resilience and commercial perspective.
