Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, Sydney's first international five-star hotel, is hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor. The role organises daily room allocations and cleaning schedules, leads team briefings and supports room attendants, and works closely with the Executive Housekeeper.

Key responsibilities

• Organise daily room allocations and cleaning schedules
• Lead team briefings and support room attendants throughout their shifts
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and staff areas to ensure they are clean and well presented
• Coordinate with Front Office on room priorities and release rooms once they are ready
• Follow up on cleaning and maintenance issues so rooms are ready for arriving guests
• Keep linen, amenities, supplies and equipment stocked and storage areas organised
• Respond to guest requests and manage lost property with care
• Support the Executive Housekeeper with team feedback, performance reviews and day-to-day priorities

Required profile

• Experience in hotel housekeeping, ideally as a supervisor or team leader
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
• Full working rights in Australia are required for this role

• Strong organisational skills to allocate rooms, manage workloads and respond to changing priorities
• Confidence leading a team, giving clear direction and supporting their development
• An eye for detail and a commitment to keeping rooms consistently clean
• Clear, professional communication with guests, colleagues and other departments
• A proactive approach to solving problems and looking after guest requests
