GTM Data Product Specialist
PaperCut Software · Melbourne
Job description
About the role
PaperCut, a B-Corp certified print management software company founded in Melbourne, is looking for a GTM Data Product Specialist to join its Commercial Operations team. The role sits at the heart of a move toward a decentralized data mesh, where GTM owns and produces its own data as a product rather than relying on a central analytics team. It is a full-time position.
Key responsibilities
- Support strategic planning and revenue forecasting with Finance and GTM leadership, including annual planning, QBRs and global GTM strategy.
- Optimise sales processes and automation, applying AI tools and automation to reduce manual friction and design sales incentive and commission structures.
- Identify and prioritise the 2-3 data or process problems that most harm pipeline, forecast accuracy or GTM efficiency, and drive them to resolution.
- Build dashboards and reports using AI, SQL and data analysis tools to track sales trends, KPIs and performance.
- Manage the tech stack and data governance with IT and cross-functional teams, maintaining data quality controls and creating training and documentation.
- Own GTM's semantic layer, defining entities, relationships, freshness requirements and ownership for core data objects such as pipeline, funnel and forecast.
- Assess AI and agent data readiness before any AI tool touches GTM data, ensuring it is clean, governed and traceable.
Required profile
- Proven ability to change how a team works with data and to get adoption of new practices without direct authority.
- Strong collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance and IT.
- Analytical mindset that turns raw data into growth strategies and business insights.
Required skills
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Data modelling and warehousing concepts.
- Hands-on use of analytical tools to maintain data governance and troubleshoot quality issues.
What we offer
- A share-the-success bonus for permanent employees.
- Up to 18 weeks of paid parental leave.
- Flexible hybrid working arrangements.
- Authentic DEIB initiatives run by the team.
