Customer Service / Internal Sales (Temp to Perm)

About the role

A reputable global organisation based in the Sutherland Shire is looking for a motivated Customer Service / Internal Sales professional to join its team. The role contributes directly to customer satisfaction and sales success within a well-established business, working closely with other departments to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues. It is advertised as a temp-to-perm position.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, submit and manage tenders and period contracts as required
• Raise and manage customer and sales-team quotes, including follow-up and status tracking
• Liaise with overseas factories, product managers and engineers to find suitable products and resolve technical or product issues
• Read specification sheets, drawings and material requirements, and recommend alternative or equivalent products
• Manage special product and pricing arrangements, including calculating and monitoring margin and profit
• Handle client enquiries by email and phone, and respond to pricing, stock and delivery requests
• Enter customer orders, create picking slips and invoices for the warehouse, and follow up with warehouse and freight teams on late or missing deliveries
• Maintain and update the customer database

Required profile

• Experience in customer service or internal sales (products, not services)
• Problem-solving ability and teamwork
• Strong communication and organisational skills to cope with a fast-paced workload

The hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and salary depends on experience.
