Construction Area Manager

About the role

Campbell Property Group (CPG) is seeking an experienced Construction Area Manager to lead the delivery of contract homes across its residential portfolio. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining compliance with Australian building legislation and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the timely, cost‑effective, and high‑quality completion of homes, meeting company and display‑home standards.
• Monitor construction progress, identify risks and implement corrective actions to meet agreed timelines.
• Ensure compliance with Australian building legislation, council regulations and product specifications.
• Collaborate with design, estimating and customer‑service teams to streamline workflows and resolve bottlenecks.
• Lead and coach Construction Supervisors through regular one‑on‑one meetings, performance reviews and structured coaching plans.
• Engage with clients at key construction stages, manage concerns and resolve escalated complaints.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and councils to ensure alignment and timely execution.
• Review, negotiate and approve trade rates, monitor budgets and implement strategies to prevent overruns.
• Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all activities comply with OHS/WHS regulations.

Required profile

• Significant experience in construction supervision within residential projects.
• Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
• Strong negotiation, problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Excellent customer‑management capabilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of residential construction processes, regulations and compliance requirements.
