Construction Manager - Major Projects NT

About the role

McMahon Services is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of high‑value, complex civil and infrastructure projects across the Northern Territory. This senior, site‑based role focuses on safety, productivity, and commercial outcomes while coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee construction delivery for major projects, managing productivity, sequencing and execution.
• Ensure site performance meets safety, program, quality and cost targets.
• Plan workforce, allocate resources and manage subcontractor relationships.
• Coordinate with engineering, project and commercial teams to implement delivery strategies.
• Support commercial performance through cost control and forecasting.
• Engage stakeholders including clients, contractors and regulators.
• Provide visible safety leadership and drive WHSEQ performance.

Required profile

• 10‑15+ years of experience in major civil/infrastructure construction.
• Proven track record as a Construction Manager on large‑scale projects ($100M+).
• Strong background in site‑based delivery and construction methodologies.
• Experience managing large workforces and subcontractor environments.
• Commercial awareness with exposure to cost control and project performance.
• Ability to lead teams and drive productivity in complex site environments.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (Engineering, Construction or similar).
• Willingness to work site‑based in the Northern Territory.
