Cluster Revenue Director

About the role

The Cluster Revenue Director is responsible for balancing the financial objectives of different lodging products to maximise total revenues, and is accountable for pricing, positioning and inventory of all hotels within the market. The position oversees demand, revenue, inventory, forecasting and opportunity analysis, contributes to the sales strategy for transient customers and acts as the main contact with hotel General Managers, sales leaders, franchisees, owners and regional teams. The job is full time and based in Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and report revenue management data, maintain accurate reservation system information and provide support to reservation centres
• Generate updates on transient bookings, analyse booking patterns and period-end data to identify trends and obstacles
• Work with the Market VP, Market GM and hotel GMs on pricing analyses for all products
• Manage revenue management projects and strategy, including 6-, 12- and 2-year strategic action plans for cluster transient revenues
• Manage inventory to maximise cluster room revenue and assist hotels with pricing and business evaluation
• Coordinate strategies between group sales offices and check distribution channels for positioning and competitor information
• Ensure property diagnostic processes (PDP) are used, initiate and evaluate revenue tests, and communicate brand initiatives and market analysis to hotels, clusters and franchise partners
• Lead sales strategy meetings, prepare agendas and supporting documentation, and refine strategies to increase market share
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and keep executives, peers and subordinates informed

Required profile

• 2-year degree in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management or a related major, with 1 year of experience in revenue management, sales and marketing or a related field
• OR a 4-year bachelor's degree in a similar field, with no work experience required
