Chef De Partie - Banquets

About the role

The Westin is hiring a full-time, non-management Chef De Partie for its banquets outlet in Perth. The role supervises the preparation and production of all hot and cold food items and supports the Head Chef in maintaining quality and consistency across the kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the preparation and production of all hot and cold food items for the food and beverage outlet
• Assist the Head Chef in ensuring quality, consistency and production of food in all areas of responsibility
• Supervise and coordinate cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
• Plan and manage food quantities and plating requirements, and ensure proper portion, arrangement and garnish
• Keep the section clean and running efficiently throughout each service period
• Prepare and present food so that it exceeds guest expectations and meets guest needs
• Assist the team with preparation and execution during service periods
• Maintain strong food safety and property standards

Required profile

• Trade industry qualification or completion of a Commercial Cookery qualification
• Relevant experience in a similar role, including hot banquet experience in hotels or large event establishments of 2+ years
• Working rights in Australia
