Business Tax Specialist - Director

About the role

PwC Australia is recruiting a Director for its Business Tax team. You will deliver tax compliance and advisory services to privately owned businesses, entrepreneurs and start-ups, helping them navigate complex challenges and grow their wealth. Clients span property and construction, consumer markets, technology and financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of comprehensive tax advisory, planning and compliance services for private businesses.
• Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies, including succession planning, mergers and acquisitions and restructuring.
• Manage client relationships, proactively communicate, identify opportunities for additional services and guide clients through ATO reviews or audits.
• Mentor and support junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, high-performance team culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in private business tax advisory and compliance, with strong knowledge of tax legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to analyse complex financial and tax issues and give clear, strategic advice across multiple industries.
• Excellent client management skills, able to build trusted relationships and identify ways to add value.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities, seeking support and delegating where appropriate.
• A collaborative leader who can mentor and develop junior staff.
