Bids & Contracts Specialist – MedTech

About the role

The Bids & Contracts Specialist will support the Bids & Contracts Manager in delivering tender submissions and managing contracts across Australia and New Zealand for Johnson & Johnson MedTech. This newly created position is key to ensuring high‑quality, compliant responses to public and private healthcare customers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, coordinate and submit tender responses for healthcare customers.
• Assist in managing public contract lifecycles, including awards, extensions, variations and pricing queries.
• Gather market intelligence and support pre‑tender planning and opportunity assessments.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external procurement stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate tender and contract documentation and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree qualified with at least 3 years of tendering and contracts management experience, preferably in medical devices.
• Strong organisational, project‑management and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Proactive, consultative approach and ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to multi‑task, manage complexities and work well under pressure.

Required skills

• Experience with tender preparation and contract administration.
• Familiarity with public healthcare procurement processes in Australia and New Zealand.
