Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor

About the role

Lytton is seeking a Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor to join its leadership team. You will lead a team in a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment, ensuring high service levels, on‑time deliveries, and continuous operational improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Engage, lead, motivate and develop the warehouse team to meet individual and site objectives.
• Drive daily performance across the distribution centre to meet time‑sensitive supply‑chain deadlines.
• Oversee maintenance programmes and ensure equipment reliability.
• Partner with internal and external customers to meet dispatch service levels.
• Develop and report on key operational indicators such as labour optimisation, overtime, throughput and inventory control.
• Identify, implement and embed continuous‑improvement initiatives (5S, LEAN, TPM).
• Lead corrective and preventative safety programmes with a focus on behavioural safety.
• Collaborate with planning to align demand, supply and labour requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing warehouse and distribution centres with measurable operational results.
• Strong leadership ability to build rapport and foster a collaborative environment.
• Deep knowledge of supply‑chain logistics in an FMCG setting, including cold‑chain operations, Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP.
• Track record of driving continuous‑improvement programmes such as 5S, Total Productive Manufacturing and LEAN.
