UX/UI Designer

About the role

We are building an enterprise subscription product from the ground up and need a talented UX/UI Designer to shape its visual and interaction language. This short‑term contract position will be one of the first design voices on the project, turning vague ideas and verbal briefs into clear, high‑fidelity app designs ready for engineering hand‑off.

Key responsibilities

• Convert verbal and written product concepts into wireframes, user flows, and high‑fidelity UI designs.
• Design core screens and interaction patterns for a multi‑user enterprise web application.
• Collaborate closely with the founding team to iterate rapidly from sketches or conversations.
• Establish early design conventions, including a component library, spacing system, typography, and colour palette.
• Produce clean, well‑organized Figma files for developer handoff.
• Contribute to the overall product experience, covering onboarding, navigation, permissions, and subscription/admin flows typical of enterprise SaaS.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing B2B or enterprise software products such as dashboards, admin panels, or multi‑role applications.
• Comfortable working from ambiguous inputs and starting with whiteboard descriptions.
• Fast‑moving, self‑directed work style suited to early‑stage startups.
• Willingness to work directly with the founding team, primarily remote with occasional half‑day visits to Sydney CBD.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Figma, including components, auto‑layout, and prototyping.
• Portfolio demonstrating both UX thinking (flows, structure, hierarchy) and UI craft (visual quality, consistency).
