About the role

Ownley, the sister brand to Hansen & Gretel, is seeking a passionate Fashion Designer to join its Rosebery, NSW studio. This full‑time role will be central to creating contemporary, effortless collections that reflect the brand’s unique aesthetic and market positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualise and develop original designs that align with Ownley’s brand identity.
• Create detailed technical specifications, patterns, and samples ready for production.
• Monitor industry trends to keep collections fresh and relevant.
• Collaborate closely with merchandising, marketing, and production teams to ensure cohesive collection development.
• Contribute to the overall design strategy and attend fittings, trade shows, and industry events for inspiration.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Fashion Designer.
• Strong technical knowledge of garment construction and textiles.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
