Transportation Manager

About the role

The Transport Manager will own the day‑to‑day transport operations at the Brisbane site, providing hands‑on leadership on the shop floor. You will drive safety, efficiency and compliance while supporting a high‑performing team of drivers, supervisors and operational staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily transport operations and scheduling activities.
• Manage driver productivity, utilisation and overall operational performance.
• Coach, develop and mentor transport personnel and supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with transport, safety and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
• Support incident investigations and champion continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a strong on‑site presence to address operational issues promptly.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transport, logistics or freight operations management.
• Background in wharf or freight‑forwarding environments.
• Strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
• Hands‑on leadership style with willingness to work on the floor.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility regulations.
• Safety compliance expertise.
