Transport Specialist

About the role

The Transport Specialist ensures safe, reliable and compliant movement of personnel, goods and equipment between Alice Springs and the company site. The role combines driving scheduled bus services, handling airport transfers, truck runs and local deliveries while supporting warehouse and event logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assigned buses, trucks and other transport assets in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Provide rostered bus services for passengers travelling to and from Alice Springs.
• Execute scheduled deliveries and collections between Alice Springs, the site and the airport.
• Load, unload and secure cargo using material-handling equipment safely.
• Perform vehicle pre-inspections, report faults and carry out basic maintenance and cleaning.
• Support special events, warehouse activities and operate heavy machinery where qualified.
• Maintain all required licences, endorsements and security clearances.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship.
• Current driver’s licence with HR or H endorsement.
• Minimum six months experience in logistics or transport operations.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg independently.
• Willingness to obtain and retain a Top-Secret Positive Vetting security clearance.

Required skills

• HR/H endorsement driver’s licence.
• Forklift licence.
• Heavy-machinery operation qualification.
• Vehicle pre‑inspection and basic maintenance.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• White Card (construction safety).
• Working at Heights certification.
