Material & Logistics Manager – Aviation Maintenance

About the role

Asia Pacific Aircraft Storage (APAS) is looking for a Material & Logistics Manager to take end‑to‑end ownership of stores, material control and logistics supporting its aircraft maintenance and part‑out activities at the Alice Springs base.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the stores, receiving and material control function in line with Part 145 approvals and regulatory requirements (CASA, FAA, EASA, CAA NZ, CAAP).
• Conduct receiving inspection, verify release documentation (EASA Form 1, FAA Form 8130‑3, CASA Form One) and ensure traceability for life‑limited and time‑controlled components.
• Classify and segregate serviceable, unserviceable, quarantined, scrap and unsalvageable material, and manage disposal of unsalvageable parts.
• Control storage conditions (shelf life, temperature, humidity, ESD, batteries, chemicals, tyres) and maintain tooling calibration status.
• Confirm source approval, provide inspection data to purchasing and support supplier evaluation.
• Identify, quarantine and report suspected unapproved parts and raise occurrence reports.
• Maintain complete, auditable material records and act as primary contact for regulator, accreditation body and customer audits.
• Ensure the team completes required human‑factors, continuation and dangerous‑goods training.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aviation material control under Part 145 approvals.
• Strong knowledge of CASA, FAA and EASA regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a stores team.
• Accountability for day‑to‑day performance and compliance of the material control system.
