Transport Coordinator

About the role

Centurion is seeking a dedicated Transport Coordinator to plan and schedule daily freight loads, coordinate bookings and freight movements, and ensure efficient, on‑time transport operations across the region. This role supports the transport team in delivering high‑quality service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily freight loads for afternoon/evening operations.
• Coordinate bookings, consignment notes, manifests, and freight movements with transport providers, internal teams, and the yard.
• Investigate and resolve freight discrepancies while complying with safety and quality procedures and meeting customer KPIs.
• Schedule and finalize booking time slots for deliveries and collections.
• Ensure trips are planned efficiently and completed by required cut‑off times.
• Maintain the bookings inbox and complete driver daily run sheets.
• Work alongside the Transport Supervisor to ensure drivers and runs are adequately covered.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar transport or logistics role.
• Knowledge of TMS systems is desirable.
• Strong understanding of the Metro area.
• Experience with data entry into tracking and processing systems, scheduling, and maintaining accurate records.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
