Freight Officer & Van Driver

About the role

Join Centurion Transport’s Kalgoorlie depot in a permanent, full‑time position where you will combine van driving, freight handling and counterbalance forklift duties in a busy warehouse environment. You will work a Monday‑to‑Friday roster, loading, unloading and securing freight for regional deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift to move general, palletised and oversize freight.
• Handle, load, unload and secure freight using proper load‑restraint methods.
• Scan and track freight at every stage (receiving, staging, loading, unloading) with RF scanners.
• Prepare outbound freight for safe dispatch and ensure accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with drivers and yard teams to keep freight moving efficiently.
• Perform van deliveries within the region, adhering to schedules and safety standards.

Required profile

• Current LF forklift licence with practical experience.
• C class driver licence for van operation.
• Proven experience handling general and oversize freight in a yard or warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with RF scanners (highly regarded).
• Ability to follow directions, work safely in a team and prioritise safety.
