About the role
Alcon is seeking a motivated Surgical Equipment Sales Manager to drive sales of Phaco and VitRet equipment across Western Australia. You will act as the primary contact for surgical accounts, managing demos, service at point of sale, and consumable sales while representing Alcon’s innovative eye‑care solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Drive total sales performance for Phaco and VitRet equipment, including package sales at the time of purchase.
- Own cataract and selected VitRet accounts, developing and executing account plans.
- Provide end‑to‑end support for customers during the sales process, coordinating specialist activities and market‑access initiatives.
- Map decision‑making processes, identify key stakeholders, and implement business plans.
- Generate demand, negotiate contracts, and prepare quotes for customers.
- Translate market insights into successful commercial execution using a consultative sales approach.
- Initiate and lead local events that address customer needs.
- Convert competitive opportunities through value‑based selling and collaboration with product experts.
- Collaborate with technical and clinical experts when deeper product knowledge is required.
- Monitor and report on competitor activities.
Required profile
- Deep knowledge of Alcon’s Phaco and VitRet product portfolios.
- Proven ability to hunt new leads and convert competitive accounts.
- Strong consultative selling skills with a focus on customer and patient outcomes.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles in the medical device or ophthalmology sector.
