About the role
Join the newly opened Flaminia, an award‑winning Italian seafood restaurant at Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour. As a Sommelier you will bring expert wine knowledge to a high‑volume, high‑end dining environment, enhancing guest experiences and supporting beverage sales.
Key responsibilities
- Greet guests, present menus and provide personalised wine recommendations aligned with Italian‑focused wine lists and seafood specials.
- Curate and execute wine pairings, ensuring flawless pours and service during peak service periods.
- Collaborate with floor teams to upsell, manage cellar inventory and stock control, and conduct staff wine training.
- Handle beverage‑related guest queries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain high standards of table service.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in upscale restaurant service with proven wine knowledge.
- Strong understanding of Italian wine regions and the ability to recommend pairings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Availability for evenings, weekends and special events.
- Alignment with Accor Heartist values.
