Skilled Team Member – Civil Infrastructure Construction

About the role

The Civil Infrastructure Services group is seeking multiple permanent Team Members to support road, bikeway, footpath and storm‑water construction across Greater Brisbane. Positions are site‑based with depots at Carina Heights, Eagle Farm or Darra, offering a hands‑on environment in a collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with construction and repair of roads, bikeways, footpaths and related civil works.
• Perform basic labouring tasks such as topsoil handling, manual handling and operating minor plant (e.g., compaction, paving equipment).
• Support installation of storm‑water gullies, manhole inlets/outlets and pipe laying.
• Help set up site housekeeping and prepare daily activities to minimise delays.
• When required, lead and coordinate small team activities (Grade 5 role).

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in civil construction.
• Reliability, teamwork orientation and customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and use hand tools and small plant safely.
• Basic understanding of quality, cost and timeliness requirements.
• Current White/Construction Card (mandatory) and, preferably, a C‑class driver’s licence.
