Site Manager – Marine, Civil & Remedial Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a range of marine, civil, industrial, defence and commercial projects in Newcastle, NSW. You will oversee projects valued between $2M and $20M, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct onsite HSE and quality inductions for staff and subcontractors.
• Maintain daily site diaries and manage project documentation.
• Review and resolve key project issues, liaising with statutory bodies as required.
• Establish and maintain site compounds, amenities and inspection schedules.
• Organise site inspections with clients, authorities and consultants.
• Assist the Project Manager in preparing scopes of work and contract reviews.
• Produce and manage defect lists for subcontractors prior to handover.

Required profile

• Trade or building‑related qualification.
• 5‑10+ years of site supervision experience on construction projects.
• Construction Safety Induction (White) card and Senior First Aid Certificate.
• Desirable: Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Strong knowledge of building legislation, regulations and standards.
• Australian citizenship preferred for defence projects.
