Senior Lead, Health Industry – Commercial Banking

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially‑minded Senior Lead, Health to influence and drive the execution of ANZ’s Health industry strategy across the Business & Private Bank. This role combines deep industry expertise, credit leadership and strategic influence to grow a key industry segment.

Key responsibilities

• Shape, influence and lead execution of the Health industry strategy, driving growth, performance and customer outcomes.
• Provide specialist credit and transaction leadership, exercising Relationship CAD and supporting complex Health transactions.
• Partner with frontline leaders to build capability through coaching, mentoring and industry‑focused training.
• Drive portfolio performance and optimisation, identifying emerging trends, improving credit quality and delivering capital efficiencies.
• Champion customer growth opportunities, leading account planning, industry partnerships and strategic initiatives.
• Influence transformation and best practice, embedding industry insights and customer‑centric approaches across the business.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in the health industry with strong understanding of market drivers, trends and customer needs.
• Proven experience in commercial banking, credit risk and complex transaction structuring.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, coach and develop high‑performing teams.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance risk, growth and long‑term value creation.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, building trusted relationships at senior levels.
• Customer‑first mindset supported by analytical thinking, sound judgement and strategic problem‑solving.
