Senior Associate – External Auditor

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Adelaide Audit team. In this role you will support the delivery of high‑quality external audit services for a diverse client base, ranging from fast‑growing start‑ups to large, established organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing external audits of financial statements in line with regulatory and professional standards.
• Perform substantive testing and detailed audit procedures to identify risks and ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Evaluate internal controls and risk‑management processes to support audit conclusions.
• Prepare clear audit documentation and reports for clients and senior team members.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance audit efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve complex accounting and audit issues.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in external audit, preferably progressing towards or holding a recognised CA qualification.
• Strong analytical ability to assess financial information and identify audit risks.
• Excellent communication skills for preparing findings and interacting with clients and stakeholders.
• Foundational knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to learn from senior colleagues.
