Actuarial Analyst - Modelling & Insights

About the role

QBE is seeking a curious and innovative early‑career actuary to join its Actuarial Modelling & Insights team in Sydney or Brisbane. You will work on forward‑looking, project‑based initiatives that reshape actuarial reporting, reserving models and planning processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain actuarial reserving models using QBE’s Psicle tool.
• Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives, automation, standardisation and control enhancements.
• Create reports and Power BI dashboards leveraging Databricks and QBE’s enterprise data platform.
• Support regulatory and statutory reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects across the Actuarial team, providing analytical support.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Mathematics, Science, Data Science, Business, Actuarial Studies or Computer Science.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to learn and develop within a dynamic actuarial function.
