Relationship Manager – Business & Private Bank (Adelaide)

About the role

The Relationship Manager will manage and grow a portfolio of diversified wholesale customers for ANZ’s Business & Private Bank in Adelaide. You will be responsible for deepening client relationships, acquiring new business, and delivering tailored banking solutions that support the bank’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Act in the best interest of customers with a customer‑centric approach.
• Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of each client’s business and financial needs.
• Provide appropriate banking solutions and collaborate with product partners to design and execute deals.
• Build and nurture external networks to generate origination opportunities.
• Structure and negotiate deals with specialist teams.
• Manage a portfolio of diversified wholesale customers, driving new‑to‑bank business and expanding existing relationships.
• Monitor credit risk across the portfolio and exercise relationship credit approval discretion.
• Coach and develop an Assistant Manager direct report.

Required profile

• Proven ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Domain expertise to support complex customers and deliver tailored solutions.
• Experience assessing and managing credit risk, including structuring appropriate credit facilities.
• Strong commercial acumen and a proactive, results‑oriented mindset.
