Registered Nurse – General Medicine (Part‑time)

About the role

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is seeking a passionate Registered Nurse to join its General Medicine team on an ongoing part‑time basis (64 hours per fortnight). You will work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment caring for patients with acute and complex medical conditions, while developing your clinical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care to patients with acute and complex medical needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic, patient‑centred care.
• Support patients and families through education, advocacy and effective communication.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive and team‑focused ward culture.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong clinical reasoning, assessment and prioritisation skills.
• Commitment to delivering safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care.
• Desirable: previous experience in acute medical nursing and caring for patients with complex, diverse health needs.
