Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join Aurecon’s Program Performance team in Townsville. You will work on a variety of infrastructure projects across defence, government, social infrastructure and construction, delivering high‑impact solutions that shape Queensland’s future.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong client partnerships and co‑create tailored solutions.
• Lead and manage design and construction schedules, aligning with client expectations and specifications.
• Deliver projects from concept through handover, overseeing scope, risk, financials and reporting.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects across the full lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Regional Leads and the Program Director to report progress and milestones.
• Travel occasionally to project sites across Queensland as required.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.
• 4‑8 years of experience in a project management role.
• Proven ability to work in complex stakeholder environments and manage competing priorities.
• Strong documentation, report writing and presentation skills.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
