Project Manager – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an early‑mid career Project Manager to join its growing Program Performance team in Townsville. You will work on high‑impact infrastructure projects across Defence, Government, Social Infrastructure and Construction, delivering innovative solutions for complex challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong client partnerships and co‑create tailored solutions.
• Lead and manage design and construction schedules, aligning with client expectations.
• Deliver projects from concept through handover, managing scope, risk, financials and reporting.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects across the full lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Regional Leads and the Program Director to report progress and milestones.
• Travel occasionally within Queensland to project sites as required.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.
• 4‑8 years of project management experience.
• Proven ability to work in complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong documentation, report writing and presentation skills.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• Ability to assess contractor documentation, including payment, variation claims and extensions of time (EoTs).
