Project Manager – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term Role

About the role

ANZ is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a 12‑month program in Melbourne. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end delivery, ensuring the project meets its objectives, KPIs and compliance requirements while driving stakeholder satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of the program, from initiation to closure.
• Define and communicate a clear vision, fostering a culture of ownership and collaboration.
• Deliver scope, schedule, cost, quality and compliance targets, while actively managing risks, issues, dependencies and changes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with all key stakeholders to optimise delivery success.
• Lead, coach and develop the project team, ensuring capability growth and high performance.
• Support the sponsor and steering committee with progress updates, risk reporting and financial performance.
• Apply ANZ’s Project Management Framework, governance, templates and quality assurance processes.
• Track and report on performance, benefits and outcomes, ensuring transparent communication.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex projects or programs on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to navigate change, manage risk and drive continuous improvement.
