Project Financial Accountant

About the role

Aurecon is looking for a Project Financial Accountant to join its Perth team. You will act as a key business partner, supporting Project Managers and Commercial Managers with financial tracking and project accounting across complex engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with project creation, maintenance, revenue recognition, and project analysis, providing budget inputs.
• Maintain transaction records, transfer transactions through Project Detail, release timesheets for correction and investigate discrepancies.
• Support the billing process, including generating prebills, maintaining billing data, and producing invoices.
• Deliver training to project teams on systems and processes to support Aurecon’s transformation journey.
• Utilise knowledge of BST or other ERP systems to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Required profile

• Accounting or financial background with a relevant degree (desirable).
• Passion for engineering and continuous learning.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, inclusive environment.

Required skills

• Experience with BST (highly desirable) or other ERP systems.
