Project Finance Administrator

About the role

The Project Finance Administrator will partner closely with Project Managers to ensure accurate financial tracking and forecasting across a portfolio of engineering and infrastructure projects. This role supports the full project lifecycle, from setup through billing, helping Aurecon deliver innovative solutions on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor actual costs and forecast future spend to maintain correct revenue positioning.
• Review forecast cost at completion, compare to baseline, and discuss material changes with Project Managers.
• Participate in project meetings, presenting financial status, risks, and opportunities.
• Drive actions to minimise working capital requirements.
• Provide project accounting support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Advise on project setup, including WBS design, contract line configuration, and variation management.
• Identify and implement process improvements using enterprise systems.
• Manage client billing and ensure timely invoicing.

Required profile

• Prior experience in project accounting within an engineering or project‑focused environment.
• Proactive attitude with a strong enthusiasm for learning and innovation.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to collaborate across geographies and markets.

Required skills

• Workday Financials (highly desirable) or experience with other ERP systems.
