Product Design Engineer – Sydney

About the role

Legrand, a global leader in electrical and digital building infrastructure, is looking for a Product Design Engineer to join its Australian team in Mascot, Sydney. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will design and develop innovative products that meet customer needs while upholding Legrand’s high standards of quality and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop CRS products, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate design solutions into project delivery.
• Support cost modelling and estimation by providing accurate design data.
• Contribute technical drawings and design insights for tender submissions.
• Maintain and update design documentation, templates, and internal tools.
• Continuously build technical knowledge of CRS products and installation methods.

Required profile

• Degree or technical qualification in engineering, industrial design, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, structural, or manufacturing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and proactive attitude.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Self‑motivated and eager to learn.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel (part of Microsoft Office).
