Operations Controller (Nightshift)

About the role

Kinetic is looking for a proactive Operations Controller to manage night‑shift transport activities. You will coordinate driver and vehicle movements, respond to incidents, and help keep services reliable during the overnight period.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily operational activities including service delivery, compliance monitoring, driver liaison, rostering and reporting.
• Assist senior leaders in implementing business plans and strategic objectives for the site.
• Coordinate school runs, route services, special events and charter operations.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure high‑quality performance.
• Allocate staff resources, manage driver rosters via Coach Manager and support cost‑effective staffing strategies.

Required profile

• Ability to stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly and make real‑time decisions.
• Minimum MR (Medium Rigid) driver’s licence.
• Current PTD accreditation and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain them.
• First Aid Certificate preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Strong planning, organisational and customer‑service focus.

Required skills

• Intermediate computer literacy with experience navigating integrated software systems, particularly TIMS.
