About the role
The Material Logistics Officer supports maintenance activities by managing materials to meet daily operational and shutdown requirements in a mining environment. Reporting to the Workshop Superintendent, the role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable material flow.
Key responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety.
- Coordinate weekly and shutdown logistics activities to meet operational needs.
- Create and follow up on purchase orders and material movements with contractors and vendors.
- Manage inventory, overseeing storage, tracking, and distribution of materials.
- Set up and manage on‑site inventory stock.
- Return, create, and add stock and rotables into stores.
- Run material reports for weekly and shutdown periods to assess availability and risk.
Required profile
- Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence (HR licence desired).
- High‑Risk Forklift (LF) Licence.
- Experience in mining procurement or warehouse logistics.
- Good communication skills and experience dealing with equipment/transport vendors.
- Understanding of purchasing processes.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
