Material Logistics Officer

About the role

The Material Logistics Officer supports maintenance activities by managing materials to meet daily operational and shutdown requirements in a mining environment. Reporting to the Workshop Superintendent, the role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable material flow.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety.
• Coordinate weekly and shutdown logistics activities to meet operational needs.
• Create and follow up on purchase orders and material movements with contractors and vendors.
• Manage inventory, overseeing storage, tracking, and distribution of materials.
• Set up and manage on‑site inventory stock.
• Return, create, and add stock and rotables into stores.
• Run material reports for weekly and shutdown periods to assess availability and risk.

Required profile

• Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence (HR licence desired).
• High‑Risk Forklift (LF) Licence.
• Experience in mining procurement or warehouse logistics.
• Good communication skills and experience dealing with equipment/transport vendors.
• Understanding of purchasing processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
