L2 Network Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced L2 Network Engineer to own network support and infrastructure across client environments in a fast‑paced Managed Services Provider (MSP) setting. You will work closely with Systems Engineers, field staff and internal teams to resolve network incidents, escalations and critical outages.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN and firewall issues and support connectivity for remote users and field devices.
• Configure, maintain and monitor network infrastructure, including firewalls, routing, switching and DNS/DHCP services.
• Design, implement and support Microsoft Azure networking components such as VNets, NSGs and site‑to‑site VPNs.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineers on broader technical incidents and manage escalations.
• Monitor network performance, proactively identify potential issues and lead incident resolution to minimise service disruption.

Required profile

• Strong experience working in an MSP environment with a focus on proactive issue resolution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to stay calm during outages and drive systematic problem solving.

• Microsoft Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, VPN)
• Microsoft 365 environment support
• RMM/PSA platforms (Kaseya, N‑able or similar)
• Firewalls, routing and switching configuration
• VPN configuration and troubleshooting
• DNS and DHCP administration
