IT Support Administrator

About the role

The IT Support Administrator will ensure the smooth operation of the organisation's technology environment, supporting roughly 2,500 users and managing about 1,500 endpoints across dental practices in the Perth area.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support for hardware, software and network issues.
• Maintain and secure desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Administer and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
• Configure, monitor and support VoIP phone systems.
• Manage physical and virtual Windows servers, including performance optimisation and compliance.
• Implement and oversee backup solutions and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Prioritise tickets to meet service‑level agreements and minimise downtime.
• Participate in IT projects such as upgrades, migrations and system integrations.
• Travel to local practices as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support or administration in a medium to large environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Cloud services (Azure, AWS).
• Network protocols and security (TCP/IP, VPN, firewall configuration).
