Human Resources Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for an organized HR professional to join Amentum as a Human Resources Coordinator. In this role you will support our flagship defence programmes across Australian and US jurisdictions, acting as the engine room of the HR department.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end personnel actions, contract variations and onboarding workflows using Workday and other HR systems.
• Coordinate benefits enrollment for US employees and superannuation for Australian staff.
• Maintain data integrity across AU/US HRIS and payroll systems and ensure compliance with local legislation and defence audit requirements.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers on HR policies, procedures and entitlements.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of local HR policies, SOPs and training documentation.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in HR administration, coordination or support (defence, contracting, government or heavy industry preferred).
• Certificate IV in Human Resources or a related business discipline and a valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Negative Vetting (NV1) security clearance, with potential for higher clearance.
• High attention to detail, discretion with confidential information and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Workday or an equivalent enterprise‑grade HRIS platform.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Operating knowledge of SharePoint and integrated software applications.
