Executive Director, Return-to-Work Delivery

About the role

The Executive Director, Return-to-Work Delivery will lead the whole‑of‑government implementation of NSW’s Return‑to‑Work Strategy, driving coordinated reform and improving outcomes across the public sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the NSW Government’s Return‑to‑Work Strategy across all agencies.
• Partner with senior executives, Ministers and stakeholders to remove cultural and system barriers.
• Set consistent standards and evidence‑based outcomes at scale.
• Manage a dedicated team of direct reports responsible for the sector‑wide program.
• Use data and insights to shape strategic decisions, manage risk and identify performance improvement opportunities.
• Design, govern and oversee large‑scale program delivery with strong accountability.

Required profile

• Proven senior executive experience leading large‑scale, multi‑agency reform.
• Exceptional ability to influence Ministers, senior executives and cross‑agency stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of workforce, return‑to‑work and legislative frameworks.
• Demonstrated data‑driven decision‑making and risk management skills.
• Experience building high‑performing partnerships across government and external organisations.
