Emergency Medicine Registrar (2026) – Melbourne

About the role

Join one of Melbourne’s largest public health services as an Emergency Medicine Registrar for the 2026 intake. You will work in a high‑volume Emergency Department handling over 150,000 attendances annually, supporting a dynamic training network and hands‑on workshops.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑standard clinical care to emergency patients across all age groups.
• Participate in comprehensive primary and fellowship teaching programmes, both site‑based and network‑wide.
• Engage in quality‑improvement projects and leadership training aligned with ACEM standards.
• Contribute to research activities and support ACEM 4.10 research initiatives.
• Maintain paediatric log‑book accreditation and assist in exam preparation.

Required profile

• Recent experience in Emergency Medicine, preferably as a Junior Registrar (HMO3+).
• ACEM trainee status is desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Emergency Medicine clinical expertise.
• Familiarity with ACEM training requirements.
• Knowledge of FACEM accreditation processes.
