DevOps Engineer Internship (Remote, Australia)

About the role

We are looking for motivated DevOps Engineering Interns to gain hands‑on experience with modern cloud infrastructure and CI/CD practices. The internship is remote, supports the Australia region, and lasts 3–6 months, offering mentorship from seasoned professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in building, deploying, and maintaining cloud‑based applications.
• Support CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation.
• Work with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability.
• Help provision infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Troubleshoot deployment and environment issues.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams.
• Maintain technical documentation following professional standards.

Required profile

• Pursuing or completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong willingness to learn DevOps practices.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Linux command‑line basics
• Networking fundamentals
• Python or Bash scripting
• Git version control
• Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure or GCP
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes concepts
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
